Manually writing sitemap files is repetitive and easy to break when URLs, formatting, or tags are inconsistent. This generator turns a simple list of paths into valid XML with correctly nested URL entries.

How to use it

1. Enter your canonical site URL, such as https://example.com.
2. Paste one path per line like /, /about, and /contact, or use full URLs.
3. Choose a change frequency and priority value for all listed pages.
4. Optionally include a shared last modified date in YYYY-MM-DD format.
5. Generate and copy the XML output into your sitemap.xml file.

Best practices

• Only include canonical URLs that return indexable pages.
• Keep your sitemap synchronized whenever routes or slugs change.
• Use realistic priorities and avoid marking every page as highest priority.
• Submit the final sitemap URL in Google Search Console and Bing Webmaster Tools.

Important limitations

This generator produces XML syntax, but it does not validate whether each URL is live, indexable, or blocked by robots directives. Always verify your final sitemap against your site deployment and crawl settings.
